2022.09.08 Mount Vernon, IL – I have to be honest, I was not sure what to expect. Gary from Bat Hawk USA, had mentioned that he and his dad were going to be at the Midwest LSA Expo and asked if I would be attending. Secretly, I had to do a quick search of google maps to get my bearings! I had never spent much time in this area and now after just one day, I am sure glad I did. What an amazing location and event.
MVN is a beautiful airport. The green rolling hills, super friendly hosts and yes, the awesome food at The Bonnie Cafe it felt like I was walking into a piece of history. I was. One of the first things that drew my attention was the memorial park area located to the right of the main entrance. No, this isn’t big like Oshkosh or even Sun-n-Fun, but I found out that is precisely what makes it so special. If you are serious about buying an LSA aircraft this is the place to come. Without the crowds, and people just wanting to see some acrobatics, you get to spend some quality time with an OEM. You have time to ask questions, and most importantly time to FLY!
