img_1711aHoy en la ciudad de Mendoza, Argentina Ultralight (iRSC centro de servicio Rotax para Argentina, Chile, Uruguay y Paraguay) junto a Aerotec Argentina a lo largo de esta semana estaremos realizando los cursos de Service, Mantenimiento y Mantenimiento intensivo para motores Rotax. Como instructor RFSC (Rotax Flying and Safty Club) Mario D´Amico, hemos completado todas las plazas disponibles de los distintos cursos y asi formar 25 nuevos Tecnicos de Mantenimiento Rotax (iRMT) que darán un mejor servicio para los usuarios y propietarios de motores Rotax a lo largo del país.

Durante o período de 14 a 23 de Novembro de 2016 a Cruzeiro do Sul Aviação realizou os últimos cursos ROTAX do ano.

Em nova sede localizada em Leme-SP,foram realizados cursos de 2 tempos,4 tempos,renovações e curso de manutenção pesada,em sala aprovada e certificada pela ROTAX para o treinamento.

O curso foi um sucesso preenchendo praticamente todas as vagas,oque mostra o interesse cada vez maior de especialização neste tipo de serviço buscando tornar a aviação experimental cada vez mais segura e confiável.

Os cursos englobam tanto aulas teóricas quanto práticas dando aos alunos a oportunidade de testar os conhecimentos aprendidos em sala.

Obrigado a todos os que compareceram e confiaram e confiam em nosso serviço.

The renewal programme is for current iRMT (expired by no more than 3 months) wishing to renew there 2 Stroke Maintenance, 9 Series Service, 912 Maintenance and 9 Series Maintenance ratings.

EAA AirVenture – UPDATE

There are so many people behind the scenes that make the EAA AirVenture experience come to life each year.  The Rotax iSC/TC booth in spaces 265-267, is a prime example of how important teamwork is.
Phase 1 was started many months ago by the good folks at ArenaAmericas.  Today, Phase 2 arrived.  If you have been viewing this site, you will already know that there will be two information session daily at the Rotax iSC/TC booth. (Note: The info sessions are free, but seating is limited, so please sign up early.) Well, to make this happen, the crew from ModSpace rocked up with this amazing 60′ trailer.  Matt, Nadja, Andrew and Jesus were are critical to making this work so well.

Information Sessions at AirVenture 2016!

2016-07-18_03-33-00EAA Airventure is just about a week away!  We can’t wait to be there!  The Rotax independent Service and Training Centres booth will be in the same spot of main aircraft display area as last year.  Right at the cross roads of the four hangers in spaces 265, 266 and 267.

New this year will be the two daily information sessions.  The first session from 10am-11am gives a general familiarization of Rotax and their various product lines.  The second session from 1:00pm to 2:00pm is geared more towards builders looking to install the Rotax 912iS Sport engine.

The information sessions are provided at no charge, however seating is limited so please book your space at the booth 265.

Rotax SB-912i-006/ SB-912i-006iS – Mandatory Exchange of the Stator Assembly.

statorchangeRotax has released Service Bulletin SB-912 i-006/006iS.  These bulletins require owners to upgrade the stator on their Rotax 912i and 912iS engines to a new optimized stator assembly.

Before we go into the overview, we must remind you that this is a warranty procedure and the best way to start the upgrade process is to contact your local independent Service Centre (iSC), independent Repair Centre (iRC) or Heavy Maintenance rated iRMT.

Van’s Aircraft ships the 1000th RV-12 Kit!

The RV-12

Van’s Aircraft has shipped the 1,000th RV-12 kit, making it one of the most successful light sport aircraft to hit the market since its introduction in 2008.

Van’s said it has shipped 937 RV-12 kit empennage packages, plus a number of fly-away S-LSA RV-12s built at the company factory in Oregon.

More than 400 RV-12s are flying, representing a completion rate of 40 percent, considered excellent by home-building standards.

It takes around 700-900 man-hours to complete an RV-12 kit. Kit price is $67,070 including the 100hp Rotax 912ULS engine. The factory-built S-LSA RV-12 sells for around $120,000.

Maiden flight of the ROTAX 915 iS was a success!

On March 12, 2016 the maiden flight of the Rotax 915 iS aircraft engine was performed at the airfield in Wels, Austria.

A category 1 test pilot (highest level of education a test pilot can achieve) is testing the engine in real flight mode for the company.
